FAQ about working at Cocoa

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A POSITION AT COCOA?

Fill the online application herein. That’s pretty much the first step. The key factor for us though, is your portfolio. If you surprise us with your portfolio then we’ll call you no matter what.

HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU’VE RECEIVED MY APPLICATION?

You’ll get an automated email confirming we’ve received it. If your qualifications match our current staffing needs, our Human Resoucers team will get in touch. Otherwise, we’ll keep your information on file for future opportunities.

HOW DO I KNOW IF A POSITION IS STILL OPEN?

If the posting is visible online, we’re still looking.

WILL I BE NOTIFIED EVEN IF I’M NOT A MATCH FOR A POSITION?

We wish we could do that, unfortunately that will not be the case. We wish we could send individual replies to all applicants, but can only manage to contact the applicants we’re moving forward with.

I’VE ALREADY APPLIED MANY TIMES BUT I HAVEN’T RECEIVED A RESPONSE SO FAR. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you’ve already applIed and we haven’t replied back, chances are you need to go back to the drawing table and work harder on your skills, or, you might be a better fit for another firm. If you still want to try, consider not sending the same portfolio twice. Go back and improve it, make it better. Do not get discouraged, we have hired people on their second and third attempt.

HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY?

You’ll know that until you secure an interview with us, most likely on the second interview, to be quite frank. That also depends on the position you are applying to. If you apply with a specific number already in mind and your application depends mostly on that factor, then you’re probably looking in the wrong studio.

DO YOU HAVE FREELANCE POSITION AVAILABLE?

No, we are looking for full-time collaborators only.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO WORK AT COCOA?

Remember that your portfolio serves as your formal introduction to us. Simplify it but spend time showing only the very best of your work. More doesn’t mean better. We prefer quality to quantity.

We’re sure you’ll probably have more questions so we’ll try to keep this section updated. Furthermore, some of your questions can only be answered in an interview.
